Topic: Crisis Management in the Age of Digital Media

Greg Mueller is President of CRC Strategies, a position he has held since the company was founded in 1989.  With over 30 years of experience in strategic communications, Mueller has been on the front lines of some of the nation’s top corporate, public policy and political efforts, controversies and initiatives.  He oversees CRC’s corporate, public policy and political clients, engaging in strategy, media relations, issues management, litigation communications support and digital media.

Corporate Communications


Mr. Mueller currently oversees strategic communications and issues management for many of CRC’s corporate clients including Chevron, Qualcomm, Walmart, Eli Lilly, Lockton Insurance and the Partnership for Open and Fair Skies, an association of the nation’s top airline carriers.  Mueller also heads up communications strategy for the Innovation Alliance, a coalition of technology-based companies engaged in promoting and protecting American innovation.  


Additionally, Mr. Mueller has worked as a senior communications and issues management consultant for Visa USA, AT&T, Lexis Nexis, General Motors and Microsoft.  In addition to this work, Mr. Mueller has spearheaded media relations and communications strategy for some of the nation’s top production companies and films including Paramount’s World Trade Center, Disney and Walden Media’s Narnia, Mel Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ and Walden Media’s Because of Winn Dixie.  


Finally, for 20 years, Mueller has overseen and managed publicity for Regnery Publishing and has spearheaded media promotion for over 75 of the company’s New York Times Bestsellers. 


Political and Public Policy Communications


Mr. Mueller has extensive political and public policy communications experience.  He is currently overseeing and managing communications strategy for public policy organizations including The Federalist Society, Job Creators Network, Media Research Center, Tea Party Patriots, Consumer’s Research and the Judicial Crisis Network. During the Senate confirmation processes for Supreme Court Justices Roberts, Alito, Gorsuch and Kavanaugh, Mr. Mueller spearheaded external communications and media strategy.   


In 2010, Mueller served as a Senior Media Advisor to now U.S. Senator and former Florida Governor Rick Scott. In the 2000 presidential primary season, Mr. Mueller served as a Senior Advisor to Steve Forbes for President and prior to that he served as Communications Director for Presidential Candidate Pat Buchanan in the 1992 and 1996 election cycle.  


Mr. Mueller worked as a lead communications consultant to the Republican National Committee playing a key role with the Republican Contract with America, which led to an historic mid-term election victory for the Republican Party.  


Mueller oversees a staff of 45 at CRC.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from State University of New York at Albany.  He and his wife Charmaine have four children.
